2. Spray the exposed back of the film with the water and dish soap solution to make it easier to separate.
3. Ensure the window is completely wet during application. If it dries out, re-wet it before continuing.
4. Apply the film in the early morning or late evening when the glass is cooler, to avoid bubbles or spots.
5. Leave a 2mm (0.08 inch) gap between the film and the window frame to account for any sealant or paint residue, as the film may otherwise fall off when exposed to heat expansion.
